BOLD & VIBRANT
An at home beach wedding on Irvine Cove
Laguna Beach, California

Sarah & Ryan met and fell in love on the East Coast but knew that a beach wedding in Sarah's home state of California was what they were envisioning for their wedding. We searched every California coastal venue option from Santa Barbara to San Diego, but ultimately there was no place like home and the couple settled on a Laguna Beach, California wedding. The wedding took place in April on the beach in the community where Sarah grew up. They imagined a chic, understated affair with bold, vibrant flowers to complement and minimalist black and white table.
The couple wanted to exchange vows with "toes in the sand" so a shoe valet was the first stop for guests as they arrived. Once they safely stored their shoes in tagged muslin bags, they strolled the beach with Hibiscus Coolers in hand and made their way down the beach for the ceremony.
They loved the juxtaposition of formal wear on the beach so Ryan and his guys wore tuxedos. Sarah, in a Monique Lhuillier gown, arrived with her parents by golf cart. Vibrant tropicals framed the altar, waves crashed against the rocky coast and beautiful words were spoken. It really couldn't have been more perfect. Cocktails followed on the beach.
The same bluff where Sarah had spent childhood birthday parties was transformed into a chic, outdoor al fresco dining room with the best view in town. Incredible tablescapes of vibrant tropicals were a perfect compliment to a clean, modern, black and white dining table with cafe-style white linens.
After an incredible oceanside meal on the bluff, guests were shuttled to Sarah's family home where we had transformed the outdoor space into a dance lounge "under the stars." Guests danced all night to the sounds of the Dart Family Band.
